Advancements in grip solutions

After visiting several oilfields across the country, we determined that many worksite incidents in the oil and gas industry are due to grip issues. And with such a broad variety of liquids being handled, it’s no wonder - a poor grip can cause lower productivity, discomfort, tool slips, and injuries

But the most surprising thing we found is that many companies are still using outdated hand PPE like traditional dotted cotton gloves. These types of gloves may offer acceptable grip for saturated applications, but overall, they don’t provide adequate, comprehensive protection.

• TP-X®: Found on the Rig Lizard® 2020 and the Rig Lizard® 2021X, TP-X® works well with the use of oils and fluids. The surface does not absorb wetness, so grip is maintained in the presence of lubricating materials.
• TP-X+®: Found on the Rig Lizard® 2025X, TP-X+® is a more robust, heavy-duty version of TP-X®. It provides better cut, puncture and abrasion resistance, and increased grip. Raised texture creates channels or grooves in the material.
• Sandy Nitrile palm dip: Found on the Rig Lizard® 2090X. This dip provides a high level of abrasion resistance, and the sandy nitrile texture offers a great grip in dry and oily situations.
