Protecting the health and safety of workers is HexArmor’s mission, but during the holidays helping underprivileged children comes to the forefront. As a HexArmor® tradition, we have partnered with the local YWCA Women’s Crisis Center to make the holidays brighter for area kids.
HexArmor® collected 120 tags from the YWCA that listed children, their ages, and the gifts they were asking Santa to bring. Within weeks, hundreds of gifts filled the office space, and once wrapped by volunteers, they were donated just in time for families to put them under the tree.
Jennifer Schmitt, HexArmor® Business Systems Analyst, was happy to help organize the collection and the wrapping party. “It has made the season brighter for so many people,” Schmitt says, “starting with myself. We are all very fortunate in our careers and personal lives, and it feels so good to be able to give back. I’m very proud of the amount we collectively donated this year, I work with some very generous people.”
Participating in programs like Angel Tree gives HexArmor® the chance to give back to the community. HexArmor® employees also volunteer their time and efforts to other charitable organizations including Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and YWCA Domestic Assault Shelter, and the company participates in Goodwill’s Workforce Development program.
