Fly knife blade maintenance is done in large plastic manufacturing plants, and can be a high risk for cut and puncture injuries to hands and arms. Fly knife blades are very sharp, and get sharper after continued use. Cuts and punctures to hands and arms are frequent problems for maintenance crews working on fly knife blade hubs.
Dyneema, Kevlar, and leather gloves and arm guards don't have enough cut or puncture protection for this application. Since HexArmor products rate Level 5 on both ASTM F1790 and CE testing for cut protection, and offer puncture protection from the blade tips, they are an optimal solution for fly knife blade maintenance.
